Pousada País Tropical integrates concrete eco-responsible practices into its daily operations: organic kitchen garden, waste composting, elimination of disposable plastics, free filtered drinking water dispensers, and partnerships with local family farms in the municipality of Amontada. Each of these actions is verifiable, permanent and part of our operating model — not a one-off marketing project.

What we do, concretely
Local Farming Partnerships
We source from local producers and family farms in the municipality of Amontada. Fruits, vegetables and seasonal ingredients come directly from the land — supporting local income and reducing the environmental cost of transport.
Single-Use Plastic Free
Single-use plastics have been eliminated throughout the guesthouse. Dishes, cups, packaging and serving utensils are replaced with durable, reusable alternatives. No disposable plastic bottles are distributed to guests.
Free Filtered Water
Filtered drinking water dispensers are available at key points throughout the guesthouse, free for all guests. The goal: eliminate the need to buy disposable plastic bottles during your stay.
Composting
Organic waste from the kitchen and garden is composted on site. The resulting compost directly feeds the kitchen garden and tropical garden, closing the biological cycle with zero waste.
Waste Sorting
Recyclable waste is sorted throughout the guesthouse, with clearly labelled collection points and an informed team. Guests are invited to take part in this everyday practice.
The Tropical Garden
A living ecosystem
The tropical garden of Pousada País Tropical is not merely a backdrop — it is a living ecosystem. With native vegetation and species adapted to the Ceará coastline, the garden shelters local fauna, filters the air and creates shaded microclimates that naturally reduce the need for air conditioning. It is also where kitchen compost returns to the earth, completing the cycle.
